Gone, Gone, GONE!

Yahoo!

This morning I came downstairs, and lo and behold! there were no bodies on the floor!

Great! That meant that I didn't have to call the police. That was relief.

The refrigerator and the freezer were emptied of the food that was not mine. But strangely enough, I found on the kitchen floor a frozen lasagna and a grocery bag of frozen food ~ all thawed out.

Also on the floor was a jug of milk, which I had to pour down the sink because it was no longer fit to drink.

In addition, I found a package of hamburger in the fridge. The dogs had a nice breakfast this morning.

And this evening, along with their cup of dry kibble, the doggies had south western style corn, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and a few stray crinkle-cut French fries that fell out of an open bag.

If Jessica and Danny were stupid enough to leave a ton of frozen food on the kitchen floor, then why shouldn't the dogs have a nice feast? After all the food was already thawed out. As such, it could not have been refrozen without sacrificing the quality of the food.

It is a wonderful feeling to have a quiet house all to myself again.

Oh, by the way, Jessica wound up going back to her mother's house and not the motel up the street from us. With Danny staying with his loser friend ~ the same one who threatened to beat the crap out of Nick ~ it was understandable why Jessica's mother would take her and the baby back.

When she and Danny first showed up, saying that Jessica's mother threw her out, I wondered what kind of person would throw out her own daughter and a baby? But after having them live with me for nearly 2 weeks, I gained a lot more understanding of and sympathy for the mother.

And now that Danny is staying elsewhere, Jessica has to spend the whole day at her mother's with the baby. Good! It's about time she was put into the situation where she had no choice but to be a more attentive mother.

Maybe the baby will have a chance after all ~ as long as Jessica doesn't blow it.

In the meantime, with Jessica and Danny gone, Ryan and Ritchie said that we should have a celebration tonight.
