All Before Noon

It has been a busy morning.

Remember how barely full the dumpster was shortly after it arrived 3 1/2 weeks ago?

Well, take a look at all the stuff in it now!

This was just before 10:00 AM, when Mac Disposal came and took away a very full 40-yard dumpster. It was amazing that none of the stuff fell out when the dumpster was being raised on the lift.

And I wonder just how much of the weight in the dumpster was that of water. A fair amount drained out as it was being raised into the truck platform.

Just think, there is still more stuff that needs to be disposed of. I don't think that it would be enough to warrant the size and cost of another 40-yard dumpster. Maybe after seeing what's left to toss out, I'll call 1-800-GOT-JUNK?

Right after the dumpster pulled out of the driveway and the truck driver was covering the top with a tarp, there was a van in front the house with a fellow digging a post hole at the base of the front embankment.

It was the "For Sale" sign going up!

Yay!

That sign is a visual affirmation that the house, indeed, has been placed on the market. And it was a visual reminder of ~ yes indeed ~ our impending departure from this area and our relocation to Texas.

Now how long will it be before people start tromping through the house and start making offers?

After the sign was put up ~ and I was finished taking pix ~ I went inside to tackle the task that has been with me during these past couple of days. It was time to slap on a second coat of paint on the living room walls.

The second coat went a lot faster than the first coat, and used less paint, too.

I was done by noon.

That was enough. The rest of the day was for relaxation.
